How to Build a Truly Fulfilling Business: The 3 Keys to Happiness

How to Build a Truly Fulfilling Business: The 3 Keys to Happiness

Today, we will be diving headfirst into the formula for a happy life and business and how we can use these keys to build a business outline.

Let me tell you a secret: the world is filled with unhappy millionaires, people who have everything they ever wanted, people just like you who spent years striving for the perfect life only to be left unsatisfied in the end.

Throughout all of history, mankind has been trying to figure out what exactly it takes to live a happy life.

Growing up, you're always told that you should just “do what you love”, but the truth is most people haven't figured that out yet.

And even if that were true, then why are there plenty of unhappy successful artists who end up hating their art?

For the longest time, I followed the "gurus" who told me all I needed to be happy was a fancy car and a nice house. But just like sad artists, the world is full of sad millionaires.

There are plenty of books and research papers out there that point out exactly what a happy life consists of.

  • Tony Hsieh's "4 Pillars Of Happiness"

  • Edward L. Deci and Richard M. Ryan's "Self-Determination Theory."

  • Géraud Guillet "The 7 Pillars of Happiness"

TBH the world doesn't need another one, but I did so…..

After a bunch of confusion and research, I decided to simplify it all into just 3 Keys To A Happy Life:

Passion:

Passion is like a big fire inside you—a strong feeling of excitement and love for something you do.

It's when you enjoy doing something so much that you could do it all day, even if you didn't get paid for it!

Think about the things you love to do:

  • Sports

  • Drawing

  • Singing

  • Building LEGOS

When you do these activities, you feel really happy and energized. That's what passion feels like!

Now, some people might say, "But I don't know what my passion is!" That's okay!

Finding your passion takes time, and it's normal to try different things before you discover what really makes your heart sing.

As an entrepreneur, it's essential to find something you are truly passionate about, like starting a bakery if you love baking or creating a video game if you love coding.

When you follow your passion, your work won't feel like work at all—it'll be fun, and you'll be excited to get up every morning and get to it!

Pride:

No not the gay type although no problem with that. :)

The special feeling you get when you accomplish something challenging or when you know you did a great job.

It's like that moment when you finish reading a big book or when you solve a tricky math problem without any help. When you feel proud, you feel confident in yourself and your abilities.

Because of this, pride and passion go hand in hand. People love doing what they are good at.

For example, I used to hate volleyball.

My mom was a volleyball coach, and growing up, it was all she ever talked about. Every time we played, I would lose, of course, but one day I played with friends and wiped the floor with them. I never missed an opportunity to play again.

*As long as my mom isn't playing :)

As an entrepreneur, you will face tough challenges and obstacles. Each small step you take towards your goals should be something you're proud of!

Purpose:

There is no shortage of stories about the mighty heroes who fight for the greater good with a purpose so powerful they can defeat any villain while wearing tights.

Now, you may not be as fast as the Flash or as smart as Iron Man, but we all need to do things despite ourselves.

Purpose is like having a special mission or goal in mind—something that makes you feel like what you're doing really matters.

It's like helping others or making a positive impact on the world. When you have a purpose, your work has meaning, and you feel like you're making a difference.

As an entrepreneur, you need to find purpose in your business by thinking about how your products or services can solve a problem you care about.

For example, if you're passionate about the environment, starting a business that promotes eco-friendly products can give your work a sense of purpose.

When you know that your work is making the world a better place, it brings a deep sense of satisfaction and happiness.

In conclusion, being a happy entrepreneur is not just about money or fancy things; it's a combination of:

  • Doing what you love (Passion)

  • Doing what you're good at (Pride)

  • Making a positive impact on others (Purpose)

Most people will say you need passion or money, but I hope you now see why the combination of all 3 is what leads to a happy business centered around your passions.
